Gold prices have gone up globally and locally due to changes in the precious metals market. Internationally gold per ounce increased by $10 to reach $2,500. This shows higher demand for gold as a safe investment. In the local market, 24-carat gold per tola rose by Rs 1300 to Rs 261700 and gold per 10 grams went up by Rs 1114 to Rs 224365.
